He regularly performs concerts and recitals in more than forty countries, appearing in venues such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the National Auditorium in Madrid, the Radio France Auditorium in Paris, the Istanbul Opera House, and the 21st Century Auditorium in Beijing. He was awarded first prizes at the Infanta Cristina International Guitar Competition (Guerrero Foundation, 1989) and at the Permanent National Competition of Juventudes Musicales de España (1988).
He has recorded for the labels Harmonia Mundi, Naxos, Ópera Tres, Columna Música, and JSM Records, with a particular focus on rarely performed 20th- and 21st-century repertoire. Distinguished composers have dedicated works to him, including Sérgio Assad, Salvador Brotons, A. Charles, Marco Smaili, M. García Morante, S. Iannarelli, G. Drozd, J. P. Grau, and S. Eide.
He holds a PhD in Art History and Musicology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and teaches guitar and chamber music at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) and the Katarina Gurska Higher Centre. He is regularly invited to give concerts, masterclasses, and lectures at music institutions and universities around the world.
